About the internship

The intern will be working on the core problems pertaining to our centers of excellence. Each of our centers of excellence balances the dual of framework development (the ideal) and business enablement (the practical).

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

Frontend development:

• Crafting user-friendly UI/UX for seamless ride booking using functional programming (FP) and React Native
• Working on SDK integrations with other third-party customer-facing apps
• Building a multimodal, multi-tenant application designed for use across multiple cities
• Ongoing enhancement of app performance

Backend engineering:

• Developing business logic for diverse ride-hailing services (e.g., Rentals, OneWay bookings) primarily in FP
• Working on cost reduction strategies for Maps and third-party services
• Researching and addressing mobility issues in smaller cities and developing mobility frameworks
• Enhancing developer productivity by contributing to NammaDSL (Domain Specific Language of NammaYatri)

Infrastructure management:

• Ensuring highly reliable infrastructure with 99.99% availability for global mobility services
• Implementing Redis layer to minimize database load, reduce costs, and boost scalability
• Developing an infrastructure DSL for efficient, large-scale management
• Optimizing infrastructure to handle increasing traffic and reduce costs

Who can apply

Only those candidates can apply who:

• Are engineering graduates (2024 or before & 2025) with programming knowledge.
• Can start immediately and are available for a duration of 6 months for a full time in-office internship in Bangalore. In case of 2025 graduates, you should also be able to extend the internship beyond 6 months till you complete your graduation.
